#Hack4change begins – the groups!


We started out with a presentation of Breakthrough’s awesome “Bell Bajao” campaign, which encourages men to stand up against domestic violence.

Introduced Breakthrough and Hacks/Hackers New Delhi.

Thus far, 5 groups.

Group One – Airwoots, Konark Modi, and team – working to map and visualize hateful Tweets, tell a Twitter story around sexual violence

Group Two – Neil Holt, Gram Vaani – working on rural audio clips related to women’s experiences of early marriage

Group Three – Noopur Raval, international volunteers – working to create and edit articles in Wikipedia that reflect issues in Indian women’s rights

Group Four – Dalit women’s rights (a video presentation), led by a documentary filmmaker

Group Five – Ravi Bajpai, et al – working with Whypoll’s crowd-sourced urban harassment data
